People often ask me, "Richard, why 113 countries?" My answer is always the same: because the 114th might hold a perspective I’ve never seen before. My journey as a photographer hasn’t just been about ticking boxes on a map; it has been an obsession with how humans interact with space, history, and the divine.

Beyond the Passport Stamps

Traveling to over 100 countries has taught me that while our cultures differ, our desire for beauty is universal. Whether I am standing in the center aisle of a remote cathedral in Argentina or perched above the neon glow of a street in South Africa, I am looking for the same thing: Symmetry, Scale, and Story. This global perspective is what drives the collections you see at Richard Silver Photo. When you hang one of my prints in your home, you aren’t just hanging a photograph; you are hanging a piece of a decade-long odyssey.

Finding the Unusual in the Iconic

Many photographers go to the Colosseum or the Taj Mahal to take the "classic" shot. I go to find the angle that hasn't been exhausted. My Vertical Churches series was born from this exact desire—to capture the entirety of a sacred space in a way the human eye normally can’t process at once. By merging my passion for travel with technical experimentation, I aim to give you a view of the world that feels both familiar and entirely new.

Bring the World to Your Walls

My mission is to help you transform your living or workspace into a window to the world. You don’t need to visit 113 countries to appreciate the architectural mastery of our ancestors or the vibrant energy of our modern cities—you just need the right piece of art to transport you there.

I invite you to browse my updated travel galleries. From the historic streets of Europe to the hidden gems of Asia and beyond, your next favorite destination is waiting.
